If there’s one thing we learned in these early days of van build is that setting up and packing up takes so much of our time!

This is where Wade got the idea of buying a moveable workbench...but as any great DIYer, before buying, he did some research on how to build one 🤪 And here we are, building a workbench from old pallets.

This is going to make a huge difference for us, making our build days so much more efficient.

So grateful to have @smithschipsaus to fuel our crazy ideas and DIY days!!! Our favorite snack at the moment is their Baked Chips. It contains 50% less fat than Smith’s Crinkle Cut potato chips and taste amazing!! #ad

What a difference 4 weeks make!! 😍

We’re beyond excited to have completed our first month of van build and to be working with some incredible brands on this portion of the build! 🔨

Here’s what we got done so far: ⬇️
-Removed old walls and floors and installed a new subfloor. This time we went with PVC sheets instead of ply.
-Fitted a side window
-Installed soundproofing and insulation from @carbuildersvans @carbuilders
-Mounted our favourite feature so far: a massive skylight from @dometic that we sourced with the guys from @mygenerator. GOOD NEWS —> My Generator has given us a discount code (WND30) that gives you $30 OFF orders over $300
-Installed our MaxxAir Fan from @maxxairvent
-Finished the month by prepping the van to do the craziest thing we have ever done! RESPRAYING THE VAN A NEW COLOUR, all by ourselves, with @raptor.australia.official

The van already looks SO much more like a home! Now that we’ve laid the ground work, the inside of the van and electrical installation project is next!🏡

We couldn’t get the idea of making our own workbench out of our heads!🤩

Setting up our tools for the day and packing them up after working on the van all day was a task that was taking way too much time from us.

Since moving to the warehouse and seeing how they work with workbenches that just follow them around all day, we thought “We should have one too!!!”

Wade started looking for workbenches on Facebook Marketplace but nothing was exactly what we needed or THEY WERE WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!! That’s when we saw all these pallets lying around the warehouse and came up with the brilliant idea of making our own table!

We couldn’t be happier with the result and it’s already making our lives so much easier!! The table now just follow us around all day and our tools are always super handy. No more time spent setting up and packing up anything.

🙌🏻 OUR JOURNEY IN THESE ALMOST 3 YEARS "ON THE ROAD"! ✌🏼

✨ Nov. 2020: We bought our first van, a 2017 Mercedes Sprinter LWB, and started the conversion into our future home on wheels
✨ Aug. 2021: We finished the conversion, but left the van behind to spend 6 months in Brazil
✨ Mar. 2022: Back in Australia, we left Sydney and started our lap around Australia
✨ Aug. 2023: We finished our lap, returned to Sydney and packed our bags to go, once again, to Brazil and see family and redo plans.
✨ Nov. 2023: On our way back to Australia, we spent a week in Chile with Dani's mom and aunt and travelled through some of the most paradisiacal destinations in Chile.
✨ Dec. 2023: Back in Australia, we took a break from travels and spent a couple of months enjoying some well-deserved family time and reevaluating our plans and what we wanted for our future.
✨ Jan. 2024: We purchased a jiu-jitsu gym, something we have always been passionate about and a way of not relying 100% on income coming from our content creation;
✨ Feb. 2024: We visited the only state we hadn't been to in our lap around Australia: Tasmania!
✨ Apr. 2024: We moved into a warehouse and sold our first van 😢
✨ May. 2024: We bought our new van, a 2019 Mercedes Sprinter LWB.
✨ Now: We are building our second home on wheels, managing our jiu-jitsu gym, and still creating content for brands. To say life has been busy lately would be an understatement, but we're happy with our decisions and can't wait to see our next home finished. This photo is from the other week, when we installed our huge skylight from @dometic that we sourced through @mygenerator.

The plan is to finish this van before summer, but we'll take a three-week break in a few weeks to explore a country we have already been to but are looking forward to returning to: New Zealand!!

When your boyfriend watches a couple of YouTube videos and suddenly thinks he’s a professional window tinter... 🛠️🚐

Let’s just say it didn’t quite go as planned.

After spending way too much time and effort, we had to take the van to the pros to finish the job. 😂

The guy that helped us did say Wade did a good job on what he could manage, but trust us, it wasn’t worth the struggle!

Lesson learned: some things are better left to the experts! 👨‍🔧✨

Making holes in the van is always so scary... there is no room for mistakes.

Luckily everything went super smoothly during this installation and the fan is in!

Still to this day one of the best things we installed in our previous van is the MaxxFan. It basically ran 24/7. It was good for us, and even better for the cats!

It can be used in bad weather, it’s got multiple speed settings, it’s pretty quiet and it looks pretty great too!

OHHH.. And this time we upgraded and got the one with the electric opening option that comes with a remote!! Fancyyyyy

How was your weekend? Ours was working in the van,

How was your weekend? Ours was working in the van, obviously...but today, we wanted to talk about our journey with CONTENT CREATION.

When we started planning our trip and wanted to live and work on the road, we didn't know where to start or even if it was possible. At the time, we didn't find many people who talked about this, and we were a little lost. We followed a path that perhaps could have been lighter and more peaceful if we had better guidance and support.

After being on the road for over 2 years now, we know that our dream was very possible and viable, and we thought that maybe we could help other people who are going through the same thing as us.

That's why a few months ago, we started writing an ebook on how we turned travelling into a business. It's been very challenging finding the time to work on this ebook while also building a new van and managing a recently purchased business, but it's also been very special.

We were able to reflect on how this all started for us, how content creation has honestly changed our lives, and how it can change the lives of many people who put what they learn into practice.

We were unsure whether or not we would continue writing this ebook when we first started, but it's been such a cool experience writing it that we couldn't not do it.

That's why we decided to continue and help those like us who want to turn their project into a business but don't know where to start!

We hope you like it, we can't wait to share the final result with you, and if there is anyone out there who has ever felt lost in their life, put your finger here (👆🏼) 😂
